You can set the program to backup your task every day at the same time, e.g. in the evening or late at night. Select a task, press "Properties" button and choose "Schedule" section. Check the box "Enable scheduler". Select date and time to start backup operation. Select "Every day", click "OK'. The program will perform backup of the task every day at the time you set. You can perform Handy Backup operations through context menus in Windows Explorer. From Explorer, locate your file or folder; place your mouse pointer over its name, right-click to get a menu, then left-click on Handy Backup command. You can set the program to backup your task at a relatively small time period - in every several hours or even minutes. Select a task, press "Properties" button and choose "Schedule" section. Check the box "Enable scheduler" to enable the scheduler. Select date and time to start backup operation. Select "Custom period" schedule type and set required backup period, e.g. 0 days, 1 hour, 30 minutes. You can easily exclude all files of certain type from your task, that is, the program won't backup the files of this type any more. Select a task, press "Properties" button and choose "Local files" section. Type the file mask in the box under "Exclude masks" and click OK. Even if you didn't set the program to encrypt your data with password when you were creating a task, you can do this later with the help of "Properties" dialog. To do so, press "Properties" button and choose "Operation" section. Check "Encrypt with password" box. Type your password in the "Password" box and confirm it, then click OK. You can set the program to run your task on log on. Select a task and then click "Properties" button on the toolbar. "Task properties" window will appear. Choose "Schedule" section, and then check the box "Run task on log on". You can automatically backup your tasks according to your working schedule, for example, every working day. Select your tasks to backup, press "Properties" button and choose "Schedule" section. Check the box "Enable scheduler" to enable the scheduler. Select "On week days", and then check the boxes next to the working days, e.g. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Set time and date to start backup in "Start" boxes, click "OK". You can change default colors denoting different statuses of files and log messages. Press "Settings" button, select "File colors" and "Log settings" sections. Change default colors according to your preferences, then click "OK". You can view or change some properties of your created task. For example, you can change your transfer schedule, edit your task name, add or remove files from your task, or select new storage folder. Press "Properties" button to see "Task properties" window. You can view or change your proxy settings any time after creation of a task. Press "Properties" button and select "Remote Folder" section. Press "Proxy" button. Choose required proxy type by checking either "Use FTP proxy" or "Use SOCKS server" box. For more information about your proxy settings you can contact your system administrator. You can easily rename your task using "Properties" dialog. Just press "Properties" button and choose "Name" section. Remove the old name from "Task name" box and type the new one. Click "OK" button. You can change some program settings using "Settings" dialog. Press "Settings" button and "Settings" window will appear. Select the required section, for example, "Prompts" settings. Check the boxes next to the settings you want to enable. Click "OK". You can set the program to ignore read-only files. Press "Task Properties" button on the program toolbar, select "Advanced" tab, press "Files-specific settings" button. Checkmark the option "Skip read-only files". You can set the program to ignore hidden files. Press "Task Properties" button on the program toolbar, select "Advanced" tab, press "Files-specific settings" button. Checkmark the option "Skip hidden files". You can set the program to ignore system files. Press "Task Properties" button on the program toolbar, select "Advanced" tab, press "Files-specific settings" button. Checkmark the option "Skip system files". You can restore your data to another location than the original one. To change restore location, select a Task, click "Task Properties" on the program toolbar and choose "Backup Set" tab. Select the original location of your data and either double-click on it or press "Edit" button to edit your restore location. To increase your data security, you can create several copies of your task and backup them into different locations. To do so, use "Duplicate" option in File menu: select a task in tasks View and press "Duplicate". The program will create an identical copy of your task. Such copies will appear in Tasks View with the name starting with "Copy #.. of..". You can repeat this operation as many times as required. Files in a new task will be displayed in Files View with statuses "Unknown". To see their actual statuses, press F5 or "Refresh" button on the program toolbar. You can hide Log View through View Menu on the program toolbar. Select "Log Window" option in the menu, then click on "Hide Log Window" option. You can change backup type for your data any time you wish. Click "Task Properties" on the program toolbar and choose "Advanced" tab. Just select the required backup type (full or incremental backup). You can change restore type for your data any time you wish. Click "Task Properties" on the program toolbar and choose "Advanced" tab. Just select the required restore type (full or incremental restore). You can set the program to open files exclusively. Click "Task Properties" button on the program toolbar, select "Advanced" tab, press "Files-specific settings" button. Checkmark the option "Open files exclusively".
